Role: Manual Machinist

THE ROLE
Our client who specialise in design, manufacture and refurbish of products for the oil and gas industry are looking to appoint an Apprentice trained Manual Machinist with vast experience in Conventional machining principles with particular focus on Manual Boring, Milling and Drilling, secondary manual Grinding and Turning.
THE IDEAL MANUAL MACHINIST
Suitable candidates MUST have experience in the following to be considered:
-Must be Apprentice trained or time served as a Manual Machinist
-Have medium/ heavy engineering experience
-Experience in working with slings and operating overhead cranes
-Have prior experience in manual milling, drilling, boring and ideally grinding and turning
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
-Offer flexibility towards working shifts and overtime at the weekend
The successful candidates must be able to work on their own initiative and be prepared to work rotating shifts.
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Salary: £32,400+ options for overtime (£12ph basic + overtime and shift premiums)
Duration: Temporary position leading to Permanent contract
*The company may consider permanent from day one for the right person*
Shifts: Days & Nights rotating shift (37.5 hours)
