Salary: £26,000 per year

Manual Machinist

Trim cut/thread roll (move between the two departments) –

Days starting £9.92 progressing through skill level to potentially reach £10.83

Day Shift 38.5hrs – 4 days on 3-day weekend.

Monday 7am to 5.30pm,Tuesday to Thursday 7am to 5pm. (lunch 12.30pm to 1pm).

Working 38.5 hours Monday to Thursday with the opportunity to work overtime.

is calculated weekly and is paid once 38.5hrs worked first 3hrs at Tx1.4 then Tx1.5.

To weld production components for various industries 

Main Duties for the Manual Machinist

  • Setting up machines to start production activities.
  • Controlling and adjusting machine settings ( e.g., speed).
  • Completion of daily maintenance machine checklist.
  • Ensure work is accurate and planned work is achieved.
  • Maintain a clean working area and environment.
  • Recording output and scrap accurately.
  • Adhere to the company health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Be proactive in communicating any problems or opportunities for improvement to a team leader, supervisor, or manager to ensure speedy resolution.

General Competencies of the Manual Machinist

  • Previous experience as a Manual Machinist.
  • Strong attention to detail and result-driven approach
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Flexible approach to tasks
  • Ability to work in a team as well as being self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Basic/good PC skills
  • The ability to follow instructions
