Company Profile
A well-established Tier 1 automotive company with a long excellent reputation working with several key automotive manufactures. The company is in a growth phrase and will be moving across the road to enable them to grow further and develop their workshop.
Job Profile
As the successful Manual Machinist you will be working alongside a dedicated team of engineers with extensive experience and knowledge. The work is low volume 1 off parts with a lot of variety in the work.
Duties
- Machine parts for the automotive industry
- Manual milling, turning, grinding and honing
- Use gauges and measuring tools to meet tolerance requirements
- Work as a team to ensure quality and production targets are meet
- Producing components from engineering drawings
- Self-inspection
- Working with a variety of materials
Skills & Experience
- Manual milling, turning and grinding
- Engine block skinning
- Understand of CNC machining would be an advantage
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong team player who can who work on their own when required
- Competent in the use of hand-held measuring equipment
Hours & Benefits
- 37 hours per week
- 07.30 – 16.00 Monday – Thursday, Friday 12.30 finish
- Pay rate £36,000 – £43,200per year
- 25 days holiday
- Free car parking available on site
