Management Accountant

Salary: £78,000 per year

Appointed by a long-standing client, we are recruiting for a talented CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Management Accountant to undertake a 12-month FTC within this market leading, high growth business in the retail sector. Based in modern offices in Warrington, my client has a culture that is supportive, fast-paced, sociable, and rewarding. My client is the kind of business where opportunities are plentiful. Turnover has increased from £400m to £800m over a 2-year period, and headcount has grown from 1500 employees to 2500 employees in the same period.

Reporting to a supportive and very capable Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Monthly preparation and review of P&L accounts at a company and branch level
• Controlling Month End timetable and providing suggestions for improvements
• Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations as well as reviewing those prepared by the team
• Review of Quarterly VAT return
• Lead preparation and submission of Corporation Tax return with external advisers
• Review of Daily and Weekly sales reports
• Review of Management Accounts
• Critical monthly review of margin generated by ERP system and challenging issues with system provider/IT

Previous supervisory exposure would be advantageous, and experience of partnering with senior stakeholders would also be beneficial.
