Management Accountant

Salary: £48,000 per year

NXTGEN are supporting a market leader based in South Norfolk in their search for a Management Accountant. This is a fantastic broad and all encompassing role which will see the successful applicant working closely with the Head of Finance to deliver month end reports and insights. The business is fast paced and continues to experience consistent growth so it’s expected that the Management Accountant will support the wider finance team with technical submissions during peak reporting periods. There will be a great opportunity to interact with a range of key stakeholders across multiple cost centres, providing insights which will contribute towards business decisions.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:
– Delivery of month end Management Accounts with detailed commentary on variances
– Review P&L for multiple cost centres and provide insights on performance vs budget
– Support the preparation and delivery of the annual budgeting process
– Provide assistance to the Financial Accounting team with the statutory close
– Support quarterly VAT submissions
– Take responsibility for revenue recognition

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with good commercial acumen and technical ability. You will be confident supporting junior members of the finance team with any previous experience managing/leading teams desirable but not essential. Candidates will need to demonstrate good Excel and data manipulation skills with prior experience using BI reporting tools advantageous, but not essential.
