Salary: £54 per hour

Climb Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading Engineering company in the Sheffield area

Role: Management Accountant 

Responsibilities: 

  • Producing monthly Management Accounts to deadlines and providing annual statutory account analyses

  • Administering all aspects of payroll & pensions for submission to bureau for processing

  • Handling all aspects of HMRC obligations incl. VAT, PAYE, Intrastats and import/export aspects

  • Inventory reporting, stock control and stocktaking

  • Producing Balance Sheet Recs and reviewing for appropriate levels with the FD

  • Handling accruals, prepayments and ensuring appropriate GRNI protocols are followed

  • Managing tight Working Capital requirements including financing, banking and credit control aspects

  • Maintaining Order book and Sales alignment with forecast and budget expectations, producing MIS reports 

  • Ensuring timely raising of Proforma, Sales & Commercial Invoices via Pegasus Opera and templates.

  • Producing regular 3-6m cash forecasts for both internal and external stakeholders 

  • Reviewing purchase orders for coding and internal value approval on the in-house Access Database (‘WIP’ system).

  • Liaising with University of Sheffield on building, equipment and manpower recharge topics

  • Provide cover within the finance and admin team for absences and holidays

  • Overseeing the Purchase Ledger function and dealing with banking and payment aspects

  • Any other aspects or adhoc projects and reporting required by the FD

Key Qualities: 

  • Preferably qualified accountant, part qualified or QBE with extensive experience of accounts function

  • Excellent Excel skills and wider Microsoft packages a pre-requisite

  • Highly organised and able to work in a fast paced environment and to strict deadlines

  • Able to adapt to new and different IT software to enable efficient data gathering, analysis & reporting

  • Previous management accounting, payroll and inventory management a must

  • Able to research, compile, analyse and interpret multiple sources of data

  • Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills including presenting reports

  • Previous background in manufacturing/engineering environments would be preferred

Salary:

Interim basis – cover for 12 months £54/k – £50k

Permanent basis – £35/k-38k
