Salary: £50,400+ £3,085 London Weighting + benefits

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will work closely with management in managing their team budgets, support the review of their management accounts and resolve any queries or issues raised.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Prepare and distribute monthly management accounts
• Provide accurate and professional analysis of financial data
• Prepare monthly cash flow analysis
• Ensure Trial Balances are accurate and have an audit trail
• Assist Management with team budgets and management accounts
• Assist with preparation of annual budgets and provide support to service managers
• Produce Balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance
• Create and maintain reports
• Prepare end year accounts
• Provide line management to Payroll Officers and Accounts Assistants
• Internal audits
• Prepare and distribute stakeholder returns
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting systems

Person Specification

• Fully qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Demonstrable practical experience of working to a similar level in a financial management role
• Experience of managing and mentoring staff
• Good working knowledge of payroll systems, pensions, auto-enrolment, VAT and partial exemption.
• Extensive knowledge of MS Packages – ADVANCED EXCEL essential

With excellent interpersonal and communication skills you will be pro-active and confident in your approach. Excellent organisation skills, you will have the ability to develop, establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, suppliers and others.
