Management Accountant

OneMedicalGroup delivers care to 53,000 patients across its practices and sees over 180,000 patients through its walk in centres and urgent care centres. Working closely with the Clinical Commissioning Groups, the team strives to provide optimum care health and is a high QoF achiever with a comprehensive approach to long term health care planning with an innovative view to patient care.

Reporting into the Financial controller you will be working in a finance team of 5, across the 2 businesses within the OneMedicalGroup portfolio, responsible for the One Medical and One Medicare accounts. The position will be a varied role, incorporating monthly management accounting, credit control, with the opportunity to work on both high volume low value accounts, and low volume high value accounts.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Prepare monthly management accounts pack for One Medical and One Medicare
• Proactively liaising with operations managers around the business providing and explaining useful management information to help them manage their business unit effectively
• Maintain cash book, sales and nominal ledgers on bespoke system, One View, and reconcile these on a monthly basis
• Invoicing tenants/customers
• Responsibility for credit control and banking of monies received
• Project reporting – maintain accurate and up to date record of expenditure by development and preparing drawdown documentation for submission to the bank
• Reconcile bank statements.
• Maintain PAYE/NI accounts and reconcile to payments
• Preparation of monthly VAT Returns
• Prepare documentation for yearend audit.
• Keep petty cash and associated records.
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
• Monthly reporting

The post holder will be proficient in multiple software packages including:
• Microsoft office – including word, excel and outlook
• PIMS report or similar accounting system
• Qualified by experience or part Qualified in CIMA or AAT
