Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a leading life sciences company based in the Derbyshire area. As the Maintenance Technician you will Provide technical and practical support to the Facilities Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.You will be required to work on own initiative to maintain and repair plant and petence for the maintenance, repair and installation of Electrical/Mechanical plant and equipment.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Maintenance Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Carry out investigations into plant faults/failures and take necessary action to repair. Monitor, repair and replace controls equipment to building management systems. Commission as necessary.
2.Follow Planned Preventative Maintenance regime for Electrical/Mechanical equipment, fire alarms, boiler plant, electrical distribution, lighting, BMS controls, AHU’s, pumps, standby generators, etc.
3. Provide Technical assistance to Maintenance Supervisor for Electrical/Mechanical problems encountered on site. Calibration and commissioning of equipment to Standard Operating Procedures, keeping accurate records at all times
4. Liase with other departments when working on plant or equipment which may cause disruption ensuring that department personnel are informed prior to work commences. Work to relevant Company SOP’s
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Maintenance Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. A time served Apprenticeship or a formal qualification in Electrical Engineering
2. Proven industry experience within the building services industry, Pharmaceutical or hospital environment.
3. A working knowledge of Building Management systems Preferably Trend
