Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year

Multi-Trade Maintenance Technician

£30000 – £35000/annum plus Company Vehicle and Fuel Card

Location: South West – multiple sited based role covering Avon, Somerset and Wiltshire

Working for a luxury housebuilder and reporting to the Customer Care Manager, the role of multi trade maintenance technician will have an ‘all round’ trades background covering all general Decorating including patch plastering. Must have experience as a construction plastic surgeon and any additional experience in Carpentry, Mastic work, Electrics or Plumbing will be beneficial.

Because of the things you’ll be dealing with we look for construction or building experience. More importantly than that though, is your passion for quality and professionalism.

Ideally you will have worked for another House Builder in occupied repairs or possibly for a Housing Association or council in a similar role.

The Successful Multi Trade Maintenance Technician Applicant will have:

* Relevant experience working in a maintenance capacity

* Experience as a construction plastic surgeon

* Experience of carpentry, plumbing, snagging, tiling etc

* Good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations

* Ability to manage difficult situations

* Excellent planning and organisations skills

* Previous experience in a demanding and fast-paced customer service environment

* Resilient, able to remain calm and professional when dealing with Customer demands

* Self-disciplined with excellent time-management skills and prioritisation abilities

* A professional, assertive and pleasant manner in dealing with internal and external customers and contacts

* A strong team player, supportive of colleagues

* Excellent problem-solving skills

Responsibilities of the Multi Trade Maintenance Technician will be, but are not limited to:

* Ensure that all reported defects are dealt with in a cost effective, timely and professional manner to the satisfaction of the purchaser and at the direction of the Customer Care Manager

* Ensure that all materials are available at the commencement of the jobs

* Ensure that any problems or incomplete work are reported to the Customer Care Manager immediately

* Inform of any problems encountered, or where a specialist contractor is required

* Complete customer defects within the period specified by the Customer Care Manager, or as soon as reasonable possible.

* Report defects not completed to deadline to the Customer Care Manager

* Ensure personal and team compliance with all relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures, putting the safety of our teams as first priority

* Promote and act in accordance with company housing values, systems, policies and procedures

* Carry out the other appropriate ad hoc duties as and when required
