Colouring Plant Maintenance Technician

Salary: £26,000 per year

A fantastic opportunity for a candidate with an interest, or experience of working in manufacturing

Working with chemical solutions the role is varied to include:-

Assisting in the running of the effluent treatment plant:

Operating filter press (outdoor)

Making up effluent treatment chemical solutions

Conducting maintenance tasks

Assisting with make-up of hazardous process solutions

Management of the chemical stores.

Assuming responsibility for keeping the Colouring plant clean and tidy

Monitoring environmental protection facilities and provisions

Assisting with storage and disposal of waste; non-hazardous and hazardous

Assisting with in-house laboratory analysis as required on schedules that are in operation and as directed by the supervisor.

Any other related task in order to meet deadlines within this busy fast paced environment

Person Specification

Good problem-solving ability and technical aptitude.

“Hands-on” attitude.

Willing to work in a manufacturing environment that involves the use of hazardous chemicals.

Good communication and inter-personal skills with co-workers and management.

Able to work largely unsupervised, but to function as part of a team

Accurate eye for detail paying attention to detail at all times

Temp to Perm position

Hours Monday to Friday 0800 – 1630 with paid overtime during evenings and weekends
