Our client is a well-established medium sized manufacturing company based in Washington who are looking to recruit a Machine Operator / Setter to join its team on a permanent basis. This role is on a shift basis and the successful candidate will be required to work various shift patterns as business demands.

The company have a growing product base which is supplied to various retailers throughout the UK and are the largest independent company in its field.

Working as a Machine Setter/Operator, you will be part of the machine setting team within the thermoforming production environment.

Machine Setter / Operator duties will include:

* Working in accordance with the company’s health and safety and manufacturing practice

* Perform product changeovers, setups and run established tooling to the manufacturing specification

* Operate machine in a safe manner

* Diagnose and correct running faults in a timely manner once fully trained to do so.

* Maintain machine efficiencies and minimise the amount of scrap product

* Ensure machines are maintained to the highest hygiene level

* Take a full active part in all aspects of training

The successful Machine Setter / Operator will have the following skills and experience:

* Must have experience as a machine operator

* Must be available to work shift patterns

* Have experience working with polypropylene material

* Experience working with Keifel machines would be advantageous
