Salary: £26,000 per year
Industrial Personnel are now hiring a CNC Machine Operator to work the afternoon shift for our client based near Barnsley (S72). Our client is a major regional supplier and specialises in structural steelwork.
The Job:
* Salary depends on experience – up to £26,000per year.
* Full time, permanent position.
* Based in the Barnsley area.
* The role involves hands on machine operation and loading.
* Cutting of fittings and small and large area profiles, using Plasma Cutting machines.
* Use of overhead crane to load and unload material for cutting on and off the machine bed.
* Read and understand delivery and order notes.
* Adhering to onsite Health and Safety Regulations.
* Work to tight tolerances and ability to check your own work.
* Ensure highest standards of work continuously maintained.
The Person:
* Experience with steel and a background of heavy machinery and plant preferred.
* Must be reliable.
* Full training will be given for the main role, but preferred qualifications would consist of Overhead Crane licence, an FLT licence and loading experience.
* Basic understanding of steel processing required.
Working Hours:
40 hours a week.
15:00 – Midnight (Monday- Thursday)
12:30 – 19:00 (Friday)
The shift includes £15 shift allowance per shift.

Salary will be negotiable dependant on experience.
