Learning & Development Specialist

My key client, a technology company based in Watford, requires a Learning and Development specialist on a permanent basis. As the L&D Specialist you will help to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate a range of Learning and Development programmes and opportunities to assist this organisation in achieving its strategic and service requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the Learning & Development Specialist:

Provide advice, support and tools to the Management group to enable them to effectively manage and develop their teams
Effectively build and maintain client relationships, providing training projects and resources to ensure high quality customer service
Provide high quality and development consultancy to a range of clients, being able to develop and design the training needs of organisations
Provide and deliver training courses, design programmes and conduct assessments depending on the needs of the clients
Conducting training needs analysis, identified at appraisal review
Providing training and development in response to ad hoc requests from managers across a broad range of topics
Manage the budget for all training expenses, including producing quarterly reports to the HR Director.Key Requirements of the Learning & Development Specialist:

Minimum of 3 years generalist experience within learning and development roles, with a deep understanding of training, assessments and coaching practices
Experience of managing L&D programmes at an international level.
Demonstrable experience at a similar level within a Learning & Development function
Experience of managing external training providers
Ability to maintain and build client relationships
Attention to detail
Flexible approach to work
Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
