Laboratory Technician – Herts

Julie Marshall is recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a Discovery Supply department for a Pharmaceutical company in the Hertfordshire region on a contract basis for 8 months.

The main purpose of the role will be to:
Support daily supply chain activities which cross a multiple of therapeutic areas.
Work with an integrated and cross discipline team of chemical, biological, IT and shipping specialists.
Maintain the sample inventories by way of fulfilling scientists’ requests via IT systems and by use of automation platforms.
Carry out the accurate weighing/measurement of compounds, retrieval of compound material, safe handling of compounds and the shipping and dispatch of compounds world-wide.
Work to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment of moderate complexity.

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Degree (or equivalent) in a Science subject with previous laboratory experience managing samples would be advantageous.
A level (or equivalent) in maths/science would be beneficial.
Anticipated hours of work are 8am – 4pm
