Laboratory Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a chemical manufacturing company at their site located in North Tyneside.
The main purpose of your role as Laboratory Technician will be to analyse samples in accordance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs), and perform analysis using a range of techniques.
Responsibilities will include:

Support Quality Management System
Support Quality Assurance & Quality Control Measures
Standardised work
Document Control
Record Control
Retain Sample Control
Approve Raw Material Deliveries
Assist with customer complaints
Routine and none-routine testing
Control of Nonconforming Product & Quality Assurance Hold Area
Involvement in High Performance Team projects
Package Details:

£20,765 – £23,465
Plant bonus scheme
Pension scheme – Company contribution – 7% with Employee contribution of 2% minimum
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Hours of work – 12 hour Shifts following continental shift pattern

Requirements:

Experience of working towards ISO 9001:2008
Quality Control – Have previous experience of working in a QC Laboratory (>3 years)
Principles of lean tools (5S / TPM / standard run etc.)
ASQ Quality Inspector Certification
HNC/HNC/Degree in Chemistry or related subject
High energy / enthusiasm
