Laboratory Technician in Peterborough!

Key Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician: –

* Perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations
* Testing of customer samples to compare against existing products. This will help to aid New product Development and future sales too
* Arranging samples for external testing requirements
* Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analysis
* Prepare specimens and samples of raw materials and finished products
* Constructing, maintaining, calibrating and operating standard laboratory equipment, Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
* Recording and interpreting results to present to your Manager
* Use a computer to perform calculations for the preparation of graphs and spreadsheets
* Keeping up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability (Continuous Improvement)
* Following and ensuring strict Health & Safety procedures and safety checks
* Ensuring Quality Assurance in the Laboratory

Background required: –

* Previous laboratory experience in a similar role
* Have a degree in a suitable subject i.e. Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Organic Chemistry
* Although this role is working Monday – Friday 08:00-16:00, you must have a flexible working attitude to your hours for work based trials

The salary on offer is £26,000pro rata on experience raising after successfully completing your probation + bonus > 20% of base + pension
