Laboratory Technician (Biotechnology)

CY Partners are currently looking to recruit an experienced Laboratory Technician for a Biotechnology company based in Hartlepool.

*Please note that this role will require a 6 month training period outside of the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Analysing products in accordance with approved methods and in compliance with ISO 13485 requirements.
• Completing documentation to ensure all activities are recorded to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Carrying out in-process checks.
• Ensuring that safe working practices and conditions are maintained within the laboratory.
• Performing calibration of laboratory equipment as per relevant procedures.
• Assisting in the production of SOP’s related to testing specifications, laboratory equipment and/or quality related activities as required.
• Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
• Liaising regularly with other departments to ensure high quality standards.
• Computer skills – word processing and spreadsheets.
• Use own initiative when required.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by Management.
• Adhere to all Health and Safety/COSHH requirements as directed
• Provide training and monitoring of Apprentices/temporary staff
