Laboratory Technician

Position: Laboratory Technician

Location: Immingham area

Shift: 24/7 environment, shift pattern mornings, afternoon and nights

Salary: £26,000 – £29,250per yeardepending on the shift

Duties:

– Sample analysis
– Recording of results
– Keeping laboratory, instruments and testing equipment clean and tidy
– Maintain health and safety standards
– Highlight irregular results with Line Manager

Background:

– Proven experience in a laboratory environment
– A formal scientific qualification is desirable, either in Chemistry or Biology to GCSE level or higher
– Conversant with modern testing techniques
– Experience of the petro-chemical, oil and gas, chemical engineering or food sector is required

You must be reliable and able to work all shift patterns which will include mornings, afternoons and nights and will include weekend and bank holday working on a rota basis.

Salary: is from £26,000 – £29,250per year basic with shift allowances in addition. You also receive 28 days paid leave per year and other benefits, and will have the opportunity to join the Stafforce Group “MyStafforcePlus” benefits scheme offering discount schemes and accident insurance.

The position will initially be based on a 12 month assignment, although there is a very good opportunity of long term work being available.
