Alternating shifts (flexible) Monday to Friday

6 – 12 months contract (possibilty of extension or made permanent)

Our client is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician to be based in Manchester.

The key responsibilities of this multi functional role will include:

Operating in the QC laboratory
· Responsible for routine daily analysis of finished product and incoming starting materials.
· Ensure all laboratory equipment is calibrated correctly and to a defined schedule.
· Investigate complaint product and devices and report/record appropriately.
· Complete all final QC functions.

Operating as QA
· To perform compliance spot-checks of the site to ensure compliance with GMP/GDP (Quality
and Safety) and the Air Liquide IMS.
· Report all NCRs and deviations

-Ensure the laboratory operates in conjunction with production to maintain a supply of approved
finished product.
· Perform all appropriate laboratory activities to ensure that all quality control and quality assurance
checks are performed satisfactorily prior to QP certification for release of product to the market.
· Investigation of complaints to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and to record the
results of such investigation to allow follow up root cause analysis and corrective actions.
· To perform spot-checks/audits of any activities related to the manufacture, storage handling and
distribution of medical gases and medical devices at the site.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or related and will have experience working in a GMP environment.
Basic knowledge of analytical systems and working knowledge of IT systems is also essential.
