QC Laboratory Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician. Our client, based on the outskirts of Newcastle, is a leading life sciences organisation.
As a QC Technician you will work in a state of the art laboratory facility and will perform a wide variety of assays or tests required for Quality Control. To make scientific observations, maintain detailed documentation and ensure all documentation fulfills defined quality standards.

The ideal candidate would have:-

A BSc degree or equivalent experience in a Biochemical, Biology or Biomedical subject.
Work experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance environment as well as an awareness of Quality Systems in a laboratory environment.
Experience with lab equipment e.g. pH meters, balances, micropipettes and experience of calibrating and validating of equipment.
You must also be able to plan your own work, meet deadlines and work with limited supervision. You should also be competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
