Laboratory Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a lab technician in Kent!

We are looking to recruit a proactive and reliable lab technician to join a well-respected analytical company as part of the metals department. You will contribute to the analysis of water treatment and waste samples for an array of inorganic substances.

Roles and responsibilities:
• Preparation, extraction & analysis of samples
• Develop, validate, review, update and implement a standard operating procedure
• Completing data entry using a Laboratory Information Management System
• To uphold and comply with the statutory provision of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 as well as the regulations of UKAS
• Communication with senior staff

The applicant must be have an incredible attention to detail and must have the ability to follow a strict operating procedure. Additionally a successful candidate must have good communication skills and meet the below minimum requirements:
• A levels (or equivalent) in a Science related subject
• Data entry or administrative experience essential
