Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

This Junior Agile Scrum Project Manager position is flexible on location/offers working from home.

Its service offering includes products, systems, and holistic project delivery solutions, and this covers every phase of the contract lifecycle from initial design and bid stages, through to practical build, installation and ongoing maintenance.

Due to a number of recent significant long term contract framework awards, and an ongoing commitment to their continued and ambitious growth and portfolio diversification plans, our client is now seeking an experienced, passionate facilitator to work across the business to drive and manage strategic projects in a constantly changing environment. 

The Role

  • Ensures adequate authorisation and approvals to manage agreed changes according to organisational standards
  • Responsible for tracking budget, risks and issues, opportunities, team resource requirements and ensuring alignment with governance milestones
  • Handle relevant project planning elements and milestone results
  • Involves the relevant partners in the project initiation phase
  • Coordinates and manages project releases in conjunction with agreed processes and lead times
  • Manage customer expectations and solving of issues
  • Actively gather information of the customer and customer’s strategies, requirements and targets
  • Regularly performs retrospectives taking lessons learned onboard to provide an environment of continuous improvement
  • Works with product owner and Scrum team to understand the impacts of changes to key deliverables and relevant backlog priorities
  • Strong and demonstrable alignment to agile values and principles
  • Manage project finances
  • Fosters change orders with good margin contribution
  • Schedule and coordinate Agile – Scrum events

The Person

  • Experienced in a similar role with any of the following recognised accreditations / certifications / competencies; APMP, Prince2, PMP, PMQ or equivalent, Agile, AgilePM, Certified Scrum Master or other agile experience
  • Project planning, controlling and closure
  • Demonstrable experience in working in a regulated, operations or service-based environment
  • Prior experience with demonstrated success in leading projects in cross-functional environments
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • The ability to analyse data in a structured fashion and objectively represent the case for change or improvement
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across the organization without direct reporting lines
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex process improvement roadmaps
  • Change agent with the ability to lead change and improvement across all levels of the organization, and be hands-on to implement improvement design and implementation
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Choosing the best course of action through effective collaborative decision making
  • Establishing an action plan, and translating strategic priorities into operational reality
  • Integrating the customer’s perspective when setting priorities and taking actions
  • Using effective involvement and persuasion strategies to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to actions
  • Using own understanding of key market drivers to create and seize business opportunities
