Junior IT Project Manager

Junior IT Project Manager – Gloucester – up to £45k plus benefits

Our client, a key cyber security provider based in the South West, have an exciting opportunity available for a Junior IT Project Manager to join their growing PMO function. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual looking to climb the Project Management ladder further, or, a newly qualified Project Manager to put their first foot into the PMO function and grow their career.

Key Tasks:
* Prepare and manage the project plan and documentation
* Directly project manage the deployment protective monitoring solutions to the agreed tolerances (scope, cost, time and quality).
* Manage the reporting cycle for client and customer.
* Some experience of managing third party suppliers would be especially useful. In particular, experience of connectivity vendors and datacentre providers is desirable.
* Manage the RAID logs
* Undertake the day to day tasks needed to complete projects successfully. E.g document creation, administration tasks, booking suppliers, procurement of hardware or other similar tasks.
* Maintain deployment metrics that provide assistance with managing customer deployments to quality, cost, time and customer satisfaction.
* Continually identify and document areas where the process or implementation being delivered can be improved.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Strong bachelor’s degree or equivalent program in Science, Engineering, Technology or Management.
* 1 or more year’s demonstrable track record of successfully delivering IT projects.
* A project management certification is preferred but not essential:
o APM, Prince 2 or equivalent project management qualification or demonstrable experience.

Additional
* Hold current SC or willing to apply (employment is conditional upon successful SC application).
* Willing to be based at Gloucester with some travel to customer sites across the UK.
