We are searching for a really bright web app developer to help our client bring their market leading, high profile projects to life.

Our client is a leading technology start-up with offices in Bristol and London.

Dedicated to building apps and games that bring adventure to everything our client is hailed as a game changer combining elements of a social photo app with the responsiveness of a messenger.

Their reputation is spreading and so they now need to add to their team.

The team is small and works as a close, supportive unit.
You’ll need to be able to think strategically and manage a varied and interesting workload.
You’ll also be required to communicate clearly and enthusiastically with the rest of the team and customers.

Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline (e.g. computer science, information technology, engineering, mathematics, physics, etc.)

As a JavaScript/MEAN Developer you will:
• Manage the Backend for the product (MongodDB, node.js)
• Update our web app according to specs and designs provided
• Develop our custom CMS and data analytics dashboard
• Support current services

Experience and knowledge:
• 3+ years’ experience in web development
• 3+ years’ experience with any modern frontend JavaScript MVC library (e.g. Backbone or AngularJS)
• Expert level experience with HTML5/JavaScript/CSS
• Node.js and MongoDB
• Familiarity with Ajax design concepts
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of responsive design
• Experience working with socially integrated consumer applications is preferred

Skills required:
• Willingness and demonstrable track record of being able to learn new technologies
• Self-starting approach
• Strength at managing your own projects
• Analytical ability to research technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions
• Fluency in English. (written and oral)
Additional skills that are beneficial but not essential:
• Databases (SQL or NoSQL)
• Automated deployment tools (Grunt or Gulp)
