IT Support Technician

Salary: £30,000 per year

IT Support Technician; Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire; circa £25K depending upon experience

A market-leading, International Fluid Manufacturer is recruiting. This company produces a range of high performance, specialist products for a diverse and interesting range of industrial applications and have their UK Headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent. The company embraces new technologies to support their growth and is recognised today as one of the world’s principal suppliers to manufacturing industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, Food, Paper and Steel.

They are currently looking to strengthen their IT department with the appointment of an IT Technician. The responsibilities of the role will be to;

* Keep IT systems running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum benefit from them

* Monitor computer systems and networks

* Talk staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or remotely, to help resolve IT issues

* Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults

* Support the roll-out of new applications

* Set up new users’ accounts, priorities and profiles and deal with password issues

* Work to resolution on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)

* Prioritise and manage many open tasks at one time

* Test and evaluate new technology.

Interested applicants should have

* Windows Server 2008-2019 maintenance and support experience

* MS Office administration and support experience

* Active Directory and Group Policy knowledge

* Network troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)

* Experience with Routers, Switches

* Excellent communication and team-work skills
