IT Manager

I’m looking for an IT Manager to support desktops, laptops, remote / mobile devices and servers at a friendly music company in Cambridge. This is a team environment in an open plan office, so this role is suited to someone who is sociable, likes to be a part of the wider office team and has a good sense of humour. Sorry, but this role is not suited to someone who is looking to hide away in a server room.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring desktops, laptops, remote / mobile devices and servers all run smoothly for around 30 people, so you must have experience managing a small company IT system, including VMware, Microsoft Server 2003, Microsoft Server 2012 and Microsoft Exchange 2003.

You’ll be the main point of contact on site for IT issues, so you must be happy to take the lead and work on your own initiative, as well as being comfortable communicating with everyone else in the company. Because you’ll be the ‘go-to’ person for IT / technical issues, you can expect your workload to be varied and you’ll also have the opportunity to branch out into other areas like web page development, social media management and product testing.

-Experience managing a small company IT system
-Microsoft Server 2003, Microsoft Server 2012, Microsoft Exchange 2003, VMware
-Sociable, friendly, enjoys being part of a wider team
-Good communication skills
-Logical problem solver with a broad technical knowledge base
-Music lover, musician, vinyl junkie, DJ, gig goer, shower singer or CD collector
