3rd Line Support – Server/Networking/Desktop – £46-45k – Central London
Windows OS – Server 2003/2008R2 -Network Administration – Application Support
A leading professionally services firm who invest heavily in both their staff and in training require a technically savvy 3rd Line Support engineer who can get heavily involved in both project work and act as a senior point of escalation for user support queries.
The role will be equally split between providing 3rd Line technical support, Windows Systems administration, desktop support and infrastructure AND application focussed project work. You will have:
- Excellent communication skills – very client facing, possibly from a professional services background
- Strong Windows Server configuration skills – 2003/2008R2
- Good networking skills – exposure to either VoIP, switches/routers or firewalls
- Strong Active Directory Skills – Some experience configuring Group Policy
- A good understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP etc.
- Exposure to Video and Audio Conferencing software
Nice to have / chance to learn:
- VoIP / IP Telephony
- Financial/trading applications such as – Fidessa / Bloomberg / Reuters (not essential)
