Location: Wigston, Leicestershire
Salary: £26,000per year depending on experience
Type: Temp to Perm, Full time

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for an IT/Telecoms Test and Support Engineer to join a professional IT & Telecoms Support and Maintenance company based Leicestershire. The position is based in Wigston, Leicester but may require occasional travel to customer or supplier sites.

The test engineer would work as part of the technical team, developing test strategies for hardware & software solutions, carrying out these plans and reporting on the results. They will also be involved in re-creating scenarios to assist the support team in resolving issues. Some direct support work may also be required to assist the support team.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of SQL & databases
• Knowledge of Web technologies, html, SOAP,xml etc
• Understanding of PC & server hardware/software, TCP/IP networking, cabling
• An interest in telecoms hardware, software & services
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Methodical with attention to detail
• Basic electrical knowledge of electromechanical systems

Hours of work: 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday

Good communication skills are required, written, verbal and telephone to communicate complex ideas to customers, suppliers and Staff.
