Internal Sales Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for an expanding company in Leicester as a Sales Team Leader.

Responsible for the Sales Team and the Estimating Team, consisting of 9 members of staff, you will be an excellent line manager and capable of reading technical drawings.

The role:
– The point of contact between the Sales Team and the Sales Director
– Motivate a focused team ensuring that there is a strong culture of success
– Encourage good daily habits focused around offering customers a complete service
– Setting and supporting sales disciplines, chairing meetings, assigning training as well as setting goals via the appraisal process and delivering set budgets
– Duties will extend to working as part of the team taking calls and administering quotes and orders as required
– Motivate a re-active and pro-active culture that inspires an increasing share of our customers business
– Give regular and consistent time to all members of the sales team and to review all key elements of their role
– Manage and monitor all cash/new accounts as well as customer site visits
– Work as part of the sales team supporting all elements of their “key tasks”
– Build strong relationships based on practical appreciation of all other departments

The package:
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,000, plus 22 days holiday and 8 Bank Holidays. You will also receive an annual profit sharing bonus.

The person:
My client is looking for a manager with 2 years+ experience leading other successful sales teams. Ideally, you will hold a management qualification or you may have attended management courses in your previous role. You should have a proven track record in building relationships, increasing sales and have the ability to motivate your team. Ideally, you will have an understanding of technical drawings.
