We are working with an international, mechanical biased manufacturer supplying the aviation industry to recruit an Engineering Team Leader.
The role…
The salary is circa £49,200 ’000 per annum depending on experience plus a good range of benefits including flexible working hours, shopping discount schemes, 25 days holiday, contributory pension scheme, free parking, subsidised canteen, and child care vouchers.
Responsibilities include –
Ensuring engineering processes are defined and adhered to
Managing day to day engineering activities and workload across the Production Engineering team
Conducting personal development plans for your team, implement individual goals and objectives
Set team development goals and targets with KPIs
Coordinate activities to achieve processes
Produce routings, sketch sheets, inspection cards and all necessary documentation
Ensure control of non-conformity reporting and following actions.
Carry out technical reviews on all new products and ensure changes are introduced in line with procedures
Provide engineering support to production at meetings and assist with quotation preparations and contract reviews
Requirements…
Posses a degree or relevant qualification/apprenticeship in manufacturing/engineering
Must have experience leading a team within a production/manufacturing engineering environment
Background in a mechanical manufacturing / engineering environment
Some project management experience would be an advantage
Experience using MRP or a similar system is desirable
Good knowledge of current manufacturing methods and processes
Knowledge of FAI, NCR best practices.
Experience or knowledge of machine shop processes would be desirable
you will need to be reliable, driven, motivated and passionate about your work
Prepared to travel within the UK and Europe (you will need a driving licence and passport)
