Interim Team Leader

The role requires an extremely visible and influential leader to manage and lead a team through the busy Christmas period. This will include driving improvements in performance and processes and look to raise capability within the team.

Responsible for the day to day operation of the shift, with the understanding that the health and safety of our colleagues and the quality of our products are paramount, the role will require the effective management of resources to deliver business requirements at maximum efficiency at minimum cost.

Key Responsibilities: 

– Ensure that your team adheres to all behavioural, quality, health and safety and GMP standards. 

– Ensure we deliver the agreed production plan. 

– Maximise plant efficiency by relentless application of our Performance Management process and principles. 

– Bring Lean principles to life. 

– Take responsibility for all issues that impact your area and ensure that actions are closed on time. 

– Lead root cause analysis and deliver countermeasures to prevent re-occurrence. 

– Motivate, inspire and drive your team to deliver their best work. 

– Be relentless in pursuit of improving your people, plant and processes. 

– Effective communication across all levels of the organization. 

– Leads and owns the Performance Management Process in your area. 

– 1st line of disciplinary action. 

– Effective resource planning (plant and people), short to medium term.

Essential

· Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills, including a proven ability to relate to colleagues at all levels

· A proven ability to manage and lead a diverse work team including outsourced contract personnel

· Experience of Lean implementation and change management

· Ability to manage teams development by setting, measuring, reviewing and delivering against objectives

· Minimum 3 years experience of leading teams

· A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint

· IOSH Managing Safely

· Intermediate Food Hygiene
