Salary: £240 – £300 per day
An exciting interim opportunity exists for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a busy department to manage the health and safety function and lead on maintaining high standards of Health and Safety good practice across the premises.
Working as part of the compliance team, the successful applicant will be the primary expert in all health and safety related matters; leading the Health and Safety team to provide first rate support and advice across the organisation and ensuring effectiveness of the Health and Safety function. You will be responsible for promoting a positive health and safety culture, ensuring the organisation meets its statutory health and safety obligations.
Applicants will most likely have experience from within an NHS or Higher Education. A professional qualification in Health and Safety is essential, as well as experience of dealing with regulatory and enforcing bodies such as the HSE, fire authorities and local authorities.
