Health & Safety Manager – West Midlands – £-Attractive
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will hold responsibility for all health & safety aspects across 3 sites in the West Midlands region.
Your role will include but, not limited to;- Providing Health and Safety advice and practical solutions at all levels to ensure compliance is within current Health and Safety legislation; Lead regular H&S meetings with all staff on sites; Ensure the equipment provided is compliant; Undertake Safety Inspections and Health, Safety & Environmental Audits of sites; Safety Audits of Operational Practices and Procedures; Incident Investigations; Liaise with regulatory bodies; Review existing and new H&S, Quality and Environmental Procedures & Guidance; Analyse Incident data; Manage and supervise; Health and Safety Training; Legal Compliance audits; Write and deliver presentations; prepare and circulate Safety Alerts; Prepare monthly reports for the board; Mentor and give advice to new members of staff; report any non-conforming issues; Company Health & Safety Inductions; Accident/Incident Investigation; Implementation of policies and procedures; Keep abreast of all Health & Safety & Environmental Legislation; Health & Safety site, vehicle & plant inspections; Toolbox talks; Advise and support Managers and Supervisors to discharge their responsibilities for the Health and Safety of employees and others to whom they have a duty as defined by Legislation and Company Procedures; Ensure that all personnel are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities, and to provide advice as and when required. In order to be considered for this position you must have experience within a similar role previously specifically in AD or waste/recycling and hold a NEBOSH certificate qualification.
