Insurer Relations Recoveries Operations Manager

My client a major player within Accident Management are currently seeking a Insurer Relations Operations Manager to strengthen their Senior Management Team.

Fantastic opportunity for a current Manager of a Recoveries department within a Credit Hire company to take the next step in their career!

The role:

* To manage the relationships with Insurers
* To act as the GTA escalation point
* To represent the Company at industry events.
* To conduct internal and external audits as required
* To manage and control problem cases as they are referred
* To liaise with the sales team in relation to ongoing and potential relationships
* Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to generate income and facilitate sustainable relationships
* Research, analyse and monitor market activity so that market opportunities can be capitalised upon and ensure the timely adjustment of strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitor conditions
* Recommend changes in structure and organisation of collections team to ensure effective fulfilment of objectives assigned to it and provide the flexibility to move swiftly in relation to problems and opportunities
* Manage and control solicitor panel in relation to litigated claims handling of credit losses

Skills Required:

Essential

* GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
* A minimum of 9 – 12 months previous experience of working within the insurance industry environment.
* Persuasive communicator, negotiator, able to deal with awkward situations in a calm and friendly manner.
* A positive and self-confident approach displaying composure under pressure when dealing with third parties and customers as representatives of the Company.
* Able to stick to decisions made and the ability to utilise sales techniques when dealing with third party insurers to ensure the quick recovery of our outlay.

Desirable

Legal knowledge Understands complex legal principles and able to apply concepts, theories and ideas at a strategic level

* The ability to recognise and deal with problematic claims and or refer them to more senior members of staff for appropriate action.
* Well organised personally, able to work with little supervision.
* A willingness to offer suggestions where problems may be identified.

Candidates MUST have experience of Credit Hire and GTA/ABI processes coupled with a background of client relationship building skills within this challenging environment.
