Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire

Full Time: 40 hours per week

Our client has been formed to deliver critical projects to ensure smooth trade between UK and EU post Brexit.

The IT support with respect to procurement of the IT equipment, creating new accounts and end user computing requirements are completely fulfilled through local IT partner. There is a need to build in-house capability to provide onsite IT support and therefore this new role has been created.

They are looking for a hands-on individual to work as an Infrastructure Engineer and someone who enjoy a challenge, can use their own initiative, working proactively on their own and as part of a bigger team. 

The successful candidate will be based at their Worskop site in Nottinghamshire, which employs approx. 300 staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for a new opportunity working within an exciting industry and wanting to develop their career.

The successful candidates will be required to work varying hours to suit the needs of the business.

Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities

Account administration in Office 365
Building and managing windows image for end user laptops/devices
Patch management
Monitoring of office 365 environment and resolving end user issues
Active Directory – creating user accounts, profiles, security management
Implement joiner/leaver process and licence management
of Networking & Firewalls (Miraki/Wireless)
Managing Azure environment and troubleshooting in collaboration with Microsoft
Provide technical support related to End User Computing (EUC)
Ensure compliance to end-point security restrictions
Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) highly desirable
Requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer

Previous experience of L1 and L2 support in MS Windows and Azure environment
Microsoft 365 environment management
Prior experience in providing user centric EUC services to internal users
Demonstrate flexibility to meet operational needs
Has a positive can-do attitude

Microsoft Office365 certification
Microsoft Azure certification
ITIL Knowledge
of Robotic Process Automation

ITILV3 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library, Foundation)

Familiarity with messaging software
Ability to implement continuous service improvement
