Human Resources Advisor

Epsom

£32,482

36 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Carlton Recruitment are recruiting for a HR Advisor to work with our Client. The role would involve providing HR support in an advisory capacity maintaining confidentiality and respect whilst adhering to policies, procedures and regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide all-round generalist HR advice in accordance with employment legislation, determining when to escalate more complex issues for external advice and guidance on terms and conditions of employment e.g. leave, sickness, maternity, redundancy etc.

* To provide HR Support on change management programmes/initiatives

* Act as a point of contact for all staff for any employment related queries and/or advice and guidance as appropriate

* To support and assist in the annual performance review process as directed

* Maintain and keep up to date all policies & procedures

* Production of HR related Key Performance Indicator reports as required [e.g. sickness absence analysis, exit interview analysis, pay review reports]

* To manage the exit interview process, including the production of analysis reporting, as required

* Lead on employee relation cases including disciplinary, capability, grievances, sickness review and welfare meetings, attendance management, probationary review and any other relevant meetings, this will include note taking and collating all supporting documentation.

* Supported by the HR & Finance Assistant, maintain accurate records, manage the co-ordination and administration associated with the recruitment of staff (e.g. drafting job descriptions, maintaining a library of candidate briefs, placing adverts, coordinating shortlisting and interview arrangements, designing assessment and in tray exercises, maintain an application pipeline, complying with safer recruitment guidelines)

* Manage the on-boarding process for new staff, including the timely and accurate production of offer letters and contracts of employment, and other supporting documentation, to support and co-ordinate the induction process

Experience/ Requirements:

* Degree qualification, or equivalent, in HR & Employment Law and/or CIPD qualified or working towards achieving this qualification

* Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development

* Demonstrate evidence of substantial HR experience in a customer-facing environment

* Experience and confidence in dealing with complex Employee Relations cases including disciplinary, capability, grievances, sickness review meetings, attendance management, probation review, and any other ER related matters

* Experience of supporting organisational change activities e.g. restructures outsourcing and TUPE

* Ability to coach, develop and advise managers in all aspects of operational HR

* Excellent IT skills are essential (including the ability to use a range of relevant software packages such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, knowledge of the SIMS data base would also be an advantage)

* Outstanding organisational skills and high professional standards are essential, particularly with regard to proof-reading, accuracy and presentation
