Salary: £33,600 – £36,000per annum – Pro-Rata (with annual review) Part Time 24 hours weekly (£26,018.38)

You will be leading and directing the routine functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.

· Maintains all HR Records in a compliant manner.

· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties:

· Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organisation’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

· Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialised, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

· Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

· Analyses trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

· Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.

· Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

· Maintains compliance with national, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

· Manages the company Flexible Benefits Scheme.

· Maintains and acquires existing and new HR accreditations.

· Develops and maintains all HR Policies and Procedures

· Completes all Company Inductions.

· Manages and monitors absence and annual leave.

· Maintains, reviews, and updates all company Job Descriptions.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications

· A high level of planning and organisational skills.

· Experience of managing and developing managers.

· Attention to detail, able to prioritise workload, able to work under pressure, multi-task and problem solve.

· Ability to liaise confidently with senior management and directors.

· Higher education qualification. Basic Health, Safety, and environment legislative knowledge.

· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

· Familiarity with process improvement principles.

· Performance management skills.

· Excellent leadership and delegation skills.

· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

· Solid ethics and morals and sound judgement

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Diploma in HR Management or the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in HR Management.

The successful candidate will be:

Able to identify, understand and mitigate risk. Able to make sound decisions based on knowledge, evidence, and results. Able to evaluate high level data to determine future resource plans and make sound recommendations.

The nature of the role demands a flexible approach to working hours and location. Some national travel will be required.
