Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year
I am currently recruiting for a Project Manager in the Preston area, Negotiable salary £36,000 – £42,000.
The role:
To Project Manager the delivery of Wind Turbine & Solar PV projects from Planning to commissioning. This involves planning & scheduling the project delivery plan, liaising with the client and also internal team members to complete the projects on time and to budget.
The successful applicant will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Project Engineering.
Project Management qualification APM, APMG- International, PMI or similar experience.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an electrical or multi discipline engineering project management role.
Successful applicant with also:
Be highly numerate and literate with excellent written English.
Be experienced and comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PM software
Have a full driving license and travel when required
Have ability to solve problems in a logical & structure manner

Key Responsibilities:
Agreeing project objectives
Representing the client’s or organisation’s interests
Providing advice on the management of projects
Organising the various professional people working on a project
Carrying out risk assessments
Making sure that all the aims of the project are met ensuring Projects are
delivered on time, in good quality and within budget
Making sure the quality standards are met
Using IT systems to keep track of people and progress, ensuring all events and changes are recorded on system and notified to client
Monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained
Overseeing the accounting, costing and billing
Provide weekly progress report
Update Projects Information and scheduling
Responsible for Quality and timing of Project Design and Information
Ensure Co-ordinated deliveries and stock orders through SCM
Ensure operatives and subcontractors are following correct H&S procedure desirable
Iosh/Nebosh qualification
Be organised and self motivated
Have an understanding of renewables, in particular wind, and will be a strong negotiator.
Also have organisational, time management and problem solving skills demonstrated by formal project qualification ie prince2
