Cordant Recruitment are currently working closely with a successful, national company, constructing and operating facilities in the organics recycling, sludge handling and energy-from-waste sectors. It supports sites from Northumberland to Surrey and has a pipeline of build and maintenance projects to deliver.

Role Outline

As a Project Manager you will work with other internal and external professionals in process plant construction carrying out various projects on time, within budget and to clients requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities will range from coordinating a team of Engineers to keeping track of a project’s status and evaluating economic factors for future jobs.

Essentially, you’ll oversee the various stages of development for a variety of capital projects. You must make sure that the various parts are progressing, and that the project works as a whole. Generally, you’ll get involved at every level of the project from concept to commissioning and everything in between. You may also have a wide range of projects on the go at the same time, all at different phases of development.

Main Responsibilities

Produce detailed Programme of Work
Procurement of all resources, ensuring each suppliers’ scope is clearly defined and that all deliverables within the project are covered
Produce design risk assessments for submission to the main Contractor
Build good working relationships with the project team and external providers
Managing the build plan and re-forecasting to meet the needs of the project
Planning and coordinating all resources (plant, equipment and people) to meet the programme and key time bound objectives
Liaison with and management of suppliersRequirements

We are looking for someone who has a strong knowledge and extensive experience within the Civils sector
A degree in Civil, Mechanic or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification with 5 years experience in successfully delivering similar projects
Full understanding of the design and installation of process plants (training can be given on our process plant)
Proven experience of at least 5 years in managing contractors & teams
Experienced in all Microsoft Office programs and Microsoft Project
Practical experience working within a similar highly regulated environment
Proven ability to manage costs; commercially awareThe Package and Opportunity

£300 – £420 per day. Paid through Limited or Umbrella company
8 – 12 months project with a chance of extension on further upcoming projects
