One of the leading global investment banks have an urgent requirement for a Project Manager with IT Project and/or Portfolio Management experience.You will play an integral part in ensuring all user requirements are defined and in line with project guidelines and deadlines. This role requires a very sharp and attentive individual to be very hands on and pro-active in achieving and delivering to a high standard.

This role is offering an initial 6 month contract and is paying up to £540 per day for the right candidate

You will be based in London and Financial Services experience is a must have.

The role Profile:

The successful candidate will provide day to day support and undertake projects which contribute to ongoing successful delivery of the global billing system.
You will be the key player in the timely delivery of IT projects that meet business needs. Ultimate responsibility for all project decisions and understand both the business objectives and the development team contribution for their assigned projects.

5 years+ IT Project and/or Portfolio Management.
Understanding and belief in end-to-end responsibility / accountability across development life cycle.
Excellent project planning, control and reporting skills.
Proven track record of delivery across programmes / projects.
Concurrent management of multiple activities across multiple teams in multiple locations and time zones.
Experience of undertaking PM role in a matrix structure without direct line influence.
Demonstrable influencing and negotiation skills.
Understanding of financial planning and recharge process for projects of a significant scale.
Proven practical application of RBPM, SDLC and experience of the whole project lifecycle.
Strong understanding of stakeholder management, along with proven evidence of success.
Ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff within business and IT.
Strong practical experience in Clarity and Workbench.
Strong risk and issue management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
