Salary: £50,400 – £55,200 per year

H9 Human Resources are partnering with a national, multi-site business to recruit for a HR Business Partner for a 12 month FTC.

The role is 2-3 days on site in head office in York, and attending various sites. With flex to manage your own diary and work from home 2 days or so per week.

Provision of generalist strategic and operational people support, acting as an internal people consultant by providing coaching, constructive challenge and objective feedback to the Senior Managers, supporting specific business areas within the business as determined by the Operational People manager, or the CEO.
Understand the people needs of each business area / practice and partner with line managers to identify their people service requirements and support business change efforts, initiating and facilitating change and business improvement activity in line with strategy.
Manage workforce planning, with leaders in designated business areas, including talent and succession planning, Visa Certificates of Sponsorship.
Understand the recruitment needs of the business area / practices, liaising with both the Operations team and the recruitment team. Actively support and participate in recruitment activity where applicable.
Facilitate the understanding and implementation of key people management/processes within designated business areas, performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution, succession planning, employment legislation, TUPE, wellbeing, absence management.
Manage the colleague integration and settlement of new practices whether it be through trade and assets or an acquisition through shares. Work with the integration team and other stakeholders to manage the positive transfer of new colleagues providing them with timely and quality communication. Ensure that the company’s additional benefits are communicated and understood.
Actively lead in determining the terms and conditions of employment within each practice both existing and new acquisitions.
Responsible for ensuring that all colleagues have written terms and conditions of employment as soon as practicably possible upon joining the business.
To ensure that all documentation, information and activity is recorded, reported and tracked in a regular, timely fashion.
Work in a supportive, proactive, encouraging and collaborative manner, considering the culture of the business. Both within the people team and the wider business
To facilitate people related workshops to develop the knowledge and capability of line managers and colleagues within the business.

Requirements:

Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice policy.
Resourcing and workforce planning.
Project management.
People engagement.
Customer service focused.
Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the Leadership Team and the wider business.
Superb communication skills (written and verbal).
Effective IT skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
A professional and commercial approach to HR and OD, with the proven ability to deliver.
Minimum level 5 CIPD.

Location: York, North Yorkshire, with some travel and home working

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract, 12 months

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £50,400 – £55,200pa
