Housing Support Worker Team Leader

My client is a leading housing charity with a service network throughout the UK. The organisation is looking for a Team Leader to manage its team of Support Workers in Birmingham on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

Key responsibilities:
– To manage and develop support workers individually and collectively to ensure an effective and efficient service.
– To set stretching yet manageable targets to improve service delivery.
– Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external agencies.
– To monitor the quality of the support network’s level of service and ensure even division of work among staff.
– To performance manage the team and ensure that the service delivery meets contractual, quality and professional standards.

Key requirements:
– A minimum of two years’ experience in a senior/team leader position within a floating housing support service.
– Strong knowledge of housing/homelessness issues, and other related issues surrounding service users’ needs.
– Experience of managing and leading teams of support workers.
– Exceptional organisation and communication skills.
