We are looking for a Housing Officer to work on a agency contract for the local authority based in Bournemouth.

The role is to be a member of the Housing Office team ensuring that a high quality service is delivered to the customer in accordance with the Directorate’s Housing service plans and Housing Plus initiatives. You will have main responsibility for undertaking the tenancy and Leasehold Management function.

Successful applicants will be able to display a proven track record in this field and able to meet the following criteria

* Experience of working in front-line housing management
* Thorough understanding of tenancy and leasehold management
* Knowledge of housing repairs and maintenance
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Able to deal with the public exercising tact and discretion
* Able to identify basic repairs and remedies
* Able to visit residents in their own homes and attend site meetings
* Able to attend evening meetings when required

The role is Part Time 18.5 hours per week to cover a period of maternity leave on an agency contract.
