Helpdesk / Service Desk / Support Desk – Advisor – Guildford

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large Blue Chip company located in Guildford city centre for a Helpdesk Advisor. You will be joining a very busy team who are responsible for fielding a high volume of calls and emails to the support teams each day.

As Helpdesk Advisor you will be the first point of contact for all staff, customers and vendors into IT Support, you will record all IT incidents onto the system, then pass the incidents on to the relevant 2nd/3rd line support teams. This is not a technical role and you will not be involved in resolving the queries.

As the first point of contact you will be responsible for managing the email and telephone queries and keeping employees updated with their query resolution.
You will be required to update customers / staff with fault progress and timescales according to SLAs.

Other responsibilities will include:
– Logging of faults, chasing relevant support teams to achieve resolutions
– Creating reports on a weekly basis

In order to be successful in your application, we are looking for someone with the following skill set:
– Accurate data entry – logging of faults
– Excellent clear written and verbal communication skills
– Confident Excel user
– Experienced in the use of fault management systems and procedures (desired)

Please note, this is NOT a technical position, you will not be involved in any fault resolution or IT Support, you will be providing assistance to the support teams by being the first point of contact for all calls and emails.
