Nurse Service Manager – Neurodevelopmental Diagnosis – Autism & ADHD
What we do:
MIND Professionals founded in 2008, is a CQC Registered, widely recognised and experienced provider of Diagnostic Clinical Assessments; Psychological Interventions, and Independent Expert Consultancy, dedicated to providing excellence in Mental Healthcare.
Our clinical service provision specialises in delivering Neurodevelopmental Diagnosis – providing Autism and ADHD Diagnostic Assessments for adults, children and young people, using Gold Standard assessment tools, conducted by blended model of face to face and remote assessment sessions and delivered by Multidisciplinary Clinical Teams. Our assessments fully meet NICE Guidance both in children and young people; they are based on UK Best Practice models and are delivered via clinical protocols considered the best available for assessing Autism and ADHD. We also provide personalised programmes of Post Diagnostic Psychological, Psychosocial and Behavioural Support, and for service users diagnosed with ADHD, prescribing and medication titration services.
We currently provide commissioned Neurodevelopmental Diagnosis for the NHS in the East of England to support waiting list reduction initiatives and under the NHS Patient Right to Choose provision. We also provide an independent Neurodevelopmental Diagnosis service for individuals and families seeking a private Autism; ADHD or dual Neurodevelopmental Condition diagnosis, and we also regularly work with large organisations (Law Firms, Health Insurance Providers, Employers and Charities) seeking high quality fully NICE Guidance compliant comprehensive Autism, ADHD or Dual Neurodevelopmental Condition Diagnostic Assessments for clients and employees.
Job Title: Head of Service – Neurodevelopmental Diagnosis (Autism & ADHD)
Contract: Permanent Employment
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Mon – Fri, 08:30 – 17:00)
Salary: Negotiable and flexible depending on experience and background.
Location: Cambridge
Job Purpose:
Our Neurodevelopmental Diagnosis Service is experiencing significant growth, development, and expansion of scope, to meet a substantially increasing service user demand. Our Autism service is embedded and well established, our ADHD service is recently launched further to the award of CQC Registered status and is under intensive development. This expansion gives rise to a new and existing full time operational service leadership, senior management role, within our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
– Operational Senior Management, Service Leadership (Head of Service) role
– Full administrative managerial responsibility for delivery of services on a day-to-day basis; with operational accountability for ensuring service quality and performance.
– Working in a Senior Managerial capacity alongside and in close liaison with our Clinical Leads and Company Directors to ensure that exceptional clinical standards, meticulous financial performance management and cost controls for the service are consistently maintained.
– Working in a Senior Managerial capacity alongside and in close liaison with our Clinical Lead for ADHD, Lead Independent Non-Medical Prescriber and Company Directors to establish and embed our ADHD pathway:
– Service Model, Treatment Pathways & Process Map
– Development of operational systems and tools
– Maintain processes and policies for Clinical Governance and Quality Control
– Determination of business targets, prices & cost
– Active contribution to new business development / generation of initial sales & marketing.
– Leadership and daily line management of Head Office staff team of Assistant Psychologists and Clinical Pathway Coordinators.
– Direction and service guidance for our assessing clinicians – availability and appointment diary management; clinical pathway support for multidisciplinary teams; onboarding of new clinicians joining our service.
– Account Management responsibility for commissioned NHS service contracts – ensuring of service delivery in accordance with commissioned requirements; provider performance management meetings and performance metrics reporting.
– Case Administration Management – liaising, pre-screening, and supporting own identified caseload of service users (adults, parents, and families) using our services, through their diagnosis assessment pathways; identifying and (working in liaison with our assessing clinicians and Clinical Leads) overseeing the management of case complexities.
– Activities for business development, marketing, promoting our services.
Skills and Experience:
– Healthcare management experience
– Relevant Mental Health Professional Qualification (e.g., RMN/RNLD).
– Employment experience of working with people with Neurodevelopmental Conditions (Autism, ADHD) or within Neurodevelopmental services is essential.
