Head of Operations

Salary: £60,000 – £84,000 per year

Our client is a major packer of Fresh Produce. With quality and customer satisfaction being the priority for this successful company, they are now looking to recruit a Head of Operations to support the changing needs of the business.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your main role will require you to oversee the packhouse, planning and distribution function of the business as well as leading and inspiring the team. Capturing data and working on KPI’s to improve the efficiencies of waste and labour management within the business as well as dealing with budgetary expenditure will also need to be your forte. Communication skills with be vital in this role as you will be required to liaise with trading, distribution, agency, finance and sales teams all across the board.

The ideal candidate will need to have previous experience working in an operation managerial role. This will be a challenging position; drawing on a range of skills therefore you will need to have demonstrated effective man-management experience in a large scale production environment.

The successful applicant will not only be a natural people manager and a confident leader but a great communicator with the will to drive and develop the operations team. You must also be an innovative thinker, making key decisions with a strategic focus, as well as having excellent financial and commercial awareness.
