Head of Marketing – Local Role for Cim Qualified Professional

We are currently recruiting for CIM qualified Head of Marketing to join our established, successful client based in St Albans.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies that enhance the company image, brand and market position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a traditional marketing professional with extensive experience and a min of 5 years at senior management level.

Key Responsibilities:

•Develop and manage marketing strategies required to drive the Business Plan
•Provide strong and supportive management to marketing team
•Monitor and manage market threats and opportunities
•Produce effective, technically proficient media campaigns and support material in both electronic and traditional formats
•Build good relationships with third party organisations such as advertising and design agencies
•Provide monthly progress reports
•Maintain control of budgets
•To authorise expenditure on marketing expenses in accordance with Board approved guidelines

Essential Skills & Attributes:

•CIM Qualified with at least 5 years marketing experience at senior level
•Good personal interaction and presentation with third party organisations, industry clients and colleagues
•A natural team leader for an existing and enthusiastic department
•Strong analytical and planning skills
•Ability to agree and manage financial budgets
•Flexible approach to working time in order to meet deadlines

The ideal candidate will have a broad spectrum of personal skills covering advertising, PR, photography, electronic/traditional media, design, copywriting, exhibition planning/stand design, media analysis and negotiation.

Salary £48,000 – £54,000depending on experience.
