We are RAPt, one of the UK’s leading providers of drug treatment services. We deliver Drug and Alcohol Services – in prisons and in the community – which help people move away from addiction and crime. These services provide a variety of support, including advice, counselling, group work and intensive treatment.
Our programmes work, and because of this, after a recent round of re-contracting, we are delighted to be going through a period of expansion (30% growth 2012-2013), and want to add new and expanded functions to enable us to deliver our vision of high quality and effective recovery services.
We are currently seeking a Head of IT to join our senior leadership team and help drive the strategic direction of IT. This is a great opportunity for a strong IT Manager to take the next step in their career or a current Head of IT who would like to be in a diverse challenging role.
This role has a heavy hands on focus and you will be required to personally research, design, implement, manage and maintain appropriate technical systems across a wide range of technologies.
These include
*
VMWare
*
Windows Servers
*
Windows 8
*
Exchange 2010
*
PHP/MySQL websites (WordPress, Drupal)
*
Laptop/Desktop support and more
The position requires the management of a single 1st/2nd line support staff member and this means at times you will need to step into a help desk role.
You will play an integral part of defining the technology strategy going forward, as well as mentoring staff to ensure that you get the best out of the team. The successful applicant will need to be able to co-ordinate delivery of outputs and outcomes against time, cost and quality, providing management reports and project progress against plans, ensure resources are balanced throughout delivery and highlighting any risks or challenges. We are looking for a commercially-aware, credible, forward-thinking IT Leader who is able to build relationships at all levels and lead a productive team to utilise IT to support future growth, streamline current processes, increase operational efficiency and drive maximum strategic advantage.
We are committed to equality of opportunity for employees and eligible applicants. We’ll judge you on your abilities and skills and nothing else. We are committed to enhancing the diverse profile of our organisation to reflect the communities within which we work.
