An exciting opportunity has arisen for a graduate in civil engineering with a renowned infra-structure, transport and planning consultancy in South West England.

You will be closely involved with the planning, reviewing and designing of high value, large scale transport and infra-structure projects for clients across the UK, gaining exposure to a wide range of markets including urban and public realm design, retail design, educational, health, sport/leisure, highways.

The opportunity offers exciting prospects for progression to management and director level status in the long-term, with structured support and professional development provided continuously.

Role & Responsibilities:

*Give technical analysis and support to senior members of staff and the company’s directors, in relation to complex highway or transport planning and modelling schemes.
*Constant communications between clients, councils and the team you will be working with.
*Help produce detailed reports to assist in the planning application process
*Help produce detailed designs and drawings
*Ensure that project costs are kept within the allocated budget

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

*Knowledge/Understanding of Planning Regulatory framework, transport planning policy, standard highway regulations, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges (DMRB), Manual for Streets, Transport Assessments and programs involving traffic modelling.
*The ability to complete tasks to set given deadlines
*The ability to work both individually and within a team
*Excellent communication skills, both writing and spoken, to speak to team members, directors, clients, councils and public meetings in a professional and eloquent manner
*Degree qualified in related subjects including civil engineering, geography, environmental planning and other related disciplines
