IT Graduate – Systems Engineer / Support – Kent

Rare opportunity for a recent IT graduate to work in a broad role covering all areas of technology support, systems administration and network management.

The company are an international FMCG company. You will be based within a small and passionate team that support 3 sites in the UK. They administer predominantly Microsoft technologies which maintain a high level working environment, both with standard and industry bespoke systems.

This is a “stepping stone” role, which after 2 years will lead to a more specialist position.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

*Assist the Network Manager in the maintenance of all PC and server systems, networking and other items as delegated to the systems administrator.
*Develop documentation of systems and procedures.
*Perform Daily system Monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, servers, systems and verifying the completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
*Install and configure PC hardware and software
*Provide face to face, remote control and telephone support to users both internally and externally
*Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
*Supporting the roll-out of new applications
*Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
*Maintain IT Asset documentation (Licences, Hardware etc)

Experience required:
*Strong knowledge of technology and the principles behind it
*Knowledge of PCs, Servers and networks
*IT related degree to at least 2:1
*A willingness to learn and develop your skills
*The ability to prioritise and manage a heavy workload

This role is based in the UK head office near Maidstone in Kent.
