Job Description

IPS have an exciting new opportunity for an experience General Manager to join the team, responsible for the day to day management of three co-pack operations across our Markham Vale and Sheffield sites. 

Key Duties;

• Direction of the management in delivering the day to day operational activities on a 24/ 7 basis including employee relations and health, safety and welfare
• Delivery of the business growth plan in conjunction with commercial colleagues
• Accountability for financial management of the business to deliver budget profitability expectations
• Ensure that all health & safety and food safety requirements and obligations are consistently delivered to the highest standards and where required relevant functional expert counsel is engaged from the wider business
• Provide and promote visible leadership in order to successfully manage the Culina IPS team to deliver the business expectations
• Ensure that the team are continually developed through objective setting, PDPs and training plans etc
• Accountability for working with the Culina IPS board to develop the business strategy and business plan
• Ownership of development & delivery of the Culina IPS business budget within levels of own control ensuring sound financial planning & management practices are adopted
• Ensure that the business profit expectations are achieved and maximised 
• Set & Deliver via the Culina IPS team stretching operational KPIs in line with budget requirements; KPIs covering all areas including customer, process, operation efficiency, people and financial
• Act as key client senior contact for Culina IPS – ensuring client requirements are continually fulfilled and relationships are developed; this should be done via a process of communication, engagement and review
• Accountable for change management delivery in line with business requirements
• Develop a culture in Culina IPS where there is a drive, motivation and enthusiasm to take the business forward and deliver future expectations
• Grow, maintain and develop internal relationships with colleagues across the Culina & IPS businesses to ensure achievement of business objectives for all parties

Qualifications

• Possess the leadership qualities to enable them to manage all aspects of this busy fast moving FMCG business
• Knowledge and experience of working within co-packing/ manufacturing – particularly desirable to have within the food industry
• Experience of packaging/ solution development preferably in a business focused around retail with the consumer being the end user
• Knowledge of sector, techniques & competitors to create a distinct commercial advantage
• Able to bring about profitability and recognition of account profitability and allocation of costs
• An effective communicator at all levels with the personal motivation and confidence to have appositive impact within Culina IPS as well as with clients
• Significant experience of developing management teams within a similar complex multi site operation
• Professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation
